Key Initiatives of the Environment Cell
Save the GREEN !
Tree Plantation Drives
A continuous initiative under which our volunteers have successfully planted over 7,200+ trees across Nagpur and nearby regions. These drives focus on increasing green cover, combating air pollution, and restoring the urban ecosystem.
Nylon Manjha Awareness Drive
A unique awareness initiative before Makar Sankranti to educate people about the dangers of nylon manjha to birds and the environment. Volunteers conduct street campaigns and flash mobs to promote the use of eco-friendly cotton threads.
Clean the Green Initiative
A special environmental safety drive where volunteers collect nylon manjha and other hazardous waste from urban forests, public parks, and city areas to prevent harm to birds, animals, and humans. This initiative not only protects wildlife from fatal injuries but also promotes community responsibility towards maintaining safe and clean green spaces.
Eco-Friendly Ganesha Campaign
During Ganesh Chaturthi, we promote the use of eco-friendly idols and organize awareness sessions about water pollution caused by chemical-based immersions, motivating people to celebrate responsibly.
Pakshi Mitra Initiative
An innovative student and youth-led activity where participants create bird feeders using waste plastic bottles and utensils during summer. These feeders are placed in public areas to provide food and water to birds, spreading awareness about compassion and recycling.
Waste-to-Wonder Projects
Workshops and community programs encouraging creative reuse of plastic, paper, and discarded materials to make art, utility items, and feeders — turning waste into something meaningful.
Clean Nagpur Campaign (Swachh Survekshan)
Supporting the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, our organization conducts regular cleanliness drives in public areas, gardens, and markets. We encourage citizens to maintain hygiene, reduce plastic use, and promote civic responsibility.
